7 Day Archery Elk hunt selection

Asked this same poll on another site. Curious what you guys think…going to Idaho for 7 days for archery 2025. You have 7 days on the ground. Which week are you picking and why?

New or waning moon.

If it was possible, and it isn't, I would pick cold weather over moon phase. I've had several good moon phase hunts hurt by hot dry weather. I agree with windypants on the moon phase though since it's about the only factor you can really plan for in advance.

I've killed more elk on September 9th. I don't have a good reason, just call it my lucky day. But if I was going on a guided hunt and there was a chance I could be in the field on that day I'd be hard pressed to not consider it.
