6mm on the 30 06 case

if a barrel of 30 inches is used cane the 240 weatherby drive 105 sierras at 3500 fps.saw a case in a rifle owned by darrle casel that has this 6 mm on a 30 06 case in a improved type that is like the weatheby shoulder .any thoughts on this.

You're comparing to very different cartridges.

I would not count on being able to get much past 3200fps safely with the 6mm-06 or the WBY though.

The double radius shoulder of the WBY's is said to focus the flame in such a way that reduces pressure and heat in the throat area but I don't know that it's ever been proven.
