6mm ARC powder… Leverevolution?

Lever is definitely regarded as the "go to" powder for the 6 ARC if you are chasing speed. At this time of year though, I'd rather work with something more temp stable. I have some Lever as well, but will probably wait until summer to work up a load. That way I'll know it's safe rather than finding out the hard way.

Remind me where you're at? SW Wyoming? What are winter temps over there like 🥶

im curious to see if Lever is very fast with this bullet for two reasons, one seems like with the 95gr and below the slightly quicker powders ie 8208 XBR, go faster than Lever, and two, arent AH's sposed to run with "quicker than normal powders per bullet weight"?
Let us know how it goes for sure! Im still lookin for the goldilocks load. Although im lookin heavy at the Copper Rose next for extended lethality over the LRX.
I have faster powders that I might try with the 87gr AHs (2000-MR, TAC, AR-Comp & Benchmark). 8208 is hard enough to find (even though I have some) I won't probably mess with it TBH. Starting with Lever first, if it doesn't group I'll try some of my other options.

Im thinkin itll group great. Just may not be as fast as a quicker powder. Its shot the few bullets ive tried very well :)

My experience has been the same. Unfortunately, I had to blow up a rifle action to learn this lesson. 😐
So there's a bit of hesitation to play with this powder even though it brings out the highest velocities in the ARC. I'll have to keep a close eye on temp as I play with it this year. Hunting season temps are easily within the "comfort" range, so that makes me feel a little better.
Yikes! I can understand your trepidations in using it! For me there wasn't any data available as I went with a wildcat 6mm the 6 Hayes. Took a lot of time working up loads and comparing them to published 6arc data. Ended up running a 90g Nosler BT in that rig.

I went with the 20" heavy barreled Howa Mini. It's shown some promise with initial few boxes, but having it bedded now before I do any load work. Great little rifle. Trim a coil off the trigger spring and it becomes 2 lbs or less.

I'll have to try that spring trick 👌
That's a good looking rifle!
I was trying build a super light mountain rifle so I picked the traditional stock from Stocky's and 22" sporter barrel.
What's your setup weigh in loaded up?

Montana!

We are warming up a little now (20s) - last week was no fun haha. Even though I have a new rifle to shoot, it's too cold haha.
Hit a high of 32 here today. Almost feels like I could be in a T-shirt if I stand in the sunshine! My trough heaters haven't been able to keep up with the low single digit temps lately, so chopping out ice has been a part of morning chores the past few weeks.
It's been really nice to get out and enjoy the warm spell though 👌
