Hi well I finally got a 65 creed.Proabaly the last guy to get one. It is a savage 110 left hand with the magpol hunter stock. 18 inch tube heavy barrel 1 in 8 twist.
I know it is cap of great acc. But using g 140 amax bullets the accuracy has not been what I want. Hunting g accuracy yes .Getting 1.5 inch at 100 yards. I am using imr4451 as I have 8 lbs of it.runing apox .5 gn below max . Rifle has approximately 80 rounds some factory and reloads. I presume the acc I am getting is not all that great for the long target shots I want to try. Yes there many factors that affect accuracy open to suggestions

Check all the low hanging fruit first. Actions screws torqued down correctly. Scope rings/bases all tightened correctly. Nothing contacting barrel on the stock fore-end. Many recommend shooting some quality factory ammo as a baseline which has some merit. I don't like buying factory ammo so I never do.

If you've shot a few different types of quality factory ammo and handloads, and are confident in your handloads as well as your shooting skills, my suspicion is that rifle is about as accurate as you're currently seeing.

Start considering that after you throw a bunch of ammo, powder, and bullets at it, you might as well have put that money towards something like a Criterion barrel, or similar quality button rifled prefit. Being a Savage, it's really easy to install a barrel.

I might be inclined to try one more different bullet, and perhaps a powder, but after that I'd be rebarreling.
