6 Creedmoor for Desert Bighorn

Keep us in the loop how it's going for them, would enjoy hearing updates. They'll have a big enough team of guides looking for them that they'll sort them out sooner or later.

Any idea where they're at? Seri, Kino, Tiburon?

Sure is magical land down that way!

One guy has to be back at work by the end of the week so hes making arrangements to come back
Other guy is at la pamosa and no ram on the ground their yet either

Sheep are thin skinned and are fairly easy to kill when hit in the vitals. I'm sure that combo would work. My question to you is this. It's $40-70K for a desert bighorn hunt. The only chance you have at the biggest ram in the unit is 600 yds with a 15 mph wind. Do you want a 103 grain bullet bucking the wind or something bigger? Personally I want/need every edge I can get and would go to a bigger caliber rifle and bullet. Your money and your choice.

$40 to$70k for a hunt is that a joke?????

I have enough points to draw an az sheep tag as a resident. I have never hunted or killed sheep, lots of elk, deer, antelope, javalina and a buffalo. Archery, 223 to 300 rum and every thing in between on my own hunt along with friends and family. In over 50 plus years of hunting only using the wrong bullet for the job or a bad shot has been a problem. I would and will not hesitate to use a 6 creed. for sheep. I have waited my whole life for this tag and have killed and seen killed lots of game from antelope to elk with 243, 6mm rem, 223, 22 250s and others. I am close to finally drawing a desert Bh tag and if I would have drawn this year the toy at hand, "a 22 creed" may have been my sheep medicine.

Zero joke, heck they were going for that back in 2001
If you think 40 to 70k is a lot, look at the prices that auction tags fetch. The only affordable way is the lottery draw system and then you will need a lucky horse 🐎 👞 shoved somewhere between your hip pockets or hope you out last/live other with the same plan and are still able enough to hunt.

I've heard story's of auctions going for 250k not sure if that's BS but man that's crazy if that's true

Govenor's tags is another league............one can easily go into the 500K-725K range...

Not sure what Tiburon tags are going for now but it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't in the 150-200 range

Seems to me that the high tag in Montana was 480K and 600K in Colorado. Great write offs eh:)
That doesnt include guides, land access etc
If you cant afford to buy a new ferrari and light it on fire
Then I wouldnt pay too much attention to those tags... they arent for you
The guys that buy those dont need to worry about write offs
A handful of them donated $1m bucks to the wsf for absolutely nothing in return last year

Tiburon isnt that expensive. The problem is they are giving out too many tags
Theres only one guy to hunt the island with, the rest are going to leave you disappointed
