Curious if anyone has ran 6CM brass through a F/L 22 CM die and had good results? No damaged /collasped brass, no doughnuts, etc. Looking at doing same as got a bunch of once fired 6CM brass and could put to good use in my 22 CM.

I ve sized larger caliber cases more than the .020 "neck down" successfully but dealing with smaller caliber stuff here.

ie: like 06 to 270 in one step and no lost cases or problems. Thx in advance for anyones 6mm to 22 caliber experiences !

Already annealed just wanting to see everyone's input. Have used friends bushing die before but figured if I could get by with std F/L die then even easier !

With 40° shoulders, I say do it in 3 steps when necking down .020" (.273" to .253" +/-) like .266, .259, .253. I do that from 7mm to 6.5mm often.
For 30° shoulders, I would still do it in 2 steps (.263 & .253) myself.

Needed? Maybe not. But that is how I would do it. I try not to go more than .008" at a step.

I've done many 7X57 Mauser and 8X57 Mauser to 257 Roberts with one pass through the 257 full length die.

They were virgin brass, so theoretically annealed from the factory.

Good lube, size, trim.
