6.5x47 lapua barrel life?

Sully, i am thinking more like the .260 going 2000 rounds and the 6.5x47 going 3000 rounds.

or those numbers could also be 2500 and 3500. Which is about spot on! Are there exceptions? well of course but this is a good average to go by.

I just dont believe and was led to believe that the 6.5 X 47 wont go an additional 33% more life. MORE than the 260....yes....but not THAT MUCH more barrel live

If you plug in identical load information in the calculator provided above for the 6.5x47 and .260 Rem, you should get identical results.lightbulb

The 6.5x47L is the MOST ACCURATE CARTRIDGE I've ever fired in over 60 years of long range shooting!

Simple! Resize the case, weigh the powder charge, insert a 123 gr. SHPBT or a 130 gr. Berger....and go shoot Xs from 1000 yards!

Come to my range and I'll prove it to ya!

This is with 38.5 measly grains of Varget I might add!

Guys Im running 130 JLKs at 3040 fps in my 6.5x47 comp rifle. It has a 29" Lawton 8 twist. OAL is 2.815 in AI 10 round mags. Feeds perfect. I will not put load on here..if you want I will PM it to you. Sorry, its a touch warm but runs great in my rifle. It literally shoots through the exact same hole at 100 and has shot several sub 5" groups at 1000 in dead calm conditions. Witnessed, not just me talking up the rifle
