6.5x284, retumbo, and 143 eld-x load data needed

My cousin shoots a 6.5-284 and so does a shooting buddy. Both use 58 grains of Retumbo and its right at max in both rifles. When using the heavier 143s, start at 55gr and work up. Below is their data.

Rifle #1
28" Krieger 1:8 twist 4 groove Palma
140GR ELD-Match
58.0GR Retumbo
Fed 210s
Nosler Brass
3050fps

Rifle #2
26" Krieger 1:8 twist 4 groove M24
140GR Berger Hunting VLD
58.0GR Retumbo
CCI BR2s
Lapua Brass
3022fps

Going to bump this up as i'm just starting to work up a load for this bullet.

Any new info for this bullet in 6.5x284?

I tried RL23 with my Cooper Backcountry, with WLR primer and 140 Elite Hunter at 0.010 from the lands, my Magnospeed reads 3056fps, 53.7gr of RL23. My drops out to 1025 indicate speed of 3120. Accuracy is less than 1/2" MOA.

Just picked up some hornady eld-x and need some load information. Anyone have anything? Nosler brass. Savage 116 action
I have a Savage 116 long action action that was rebarrelled with a 24" Savage factory barrel in 6.5x284.
Do yourself a favor and use the Berger protocol for finding optimum seating depth with the ELDX first, then work up the load. They can be finicky. I found that 3.170" was my best COAL
57.6gr Retumbo, Nosler Brass, Fed 210M primer gives me excellent accuracy at 2973 fps. I'm right at max with this load in my rifle

Curious, are your 6.5-284's on short actions or long and what kind of OAL are most of you running?

My 6.5-284 is built on a LA Rem 700 and has a very long OAL w/140's.

I'm loading up a few rounds this weekend to season and get dialed in at 100. Then a 10 shot ladder with retumbo, 210m's and 143 ELD's then plan to shoot it as soon as my rifle comes in.

Hopefully I'll have it in hand in about two weeks.

It's a trued Savage LA with a 26 inch RV profile Bart in an McM stock. I hope she shoots cause she's gonna be a head turner.

Was loading 55.5 gr RL26 and 140 VLD's @ 6 jam. Smoking fast at 3180 but it had flyers every one in awhile. Stepped down one node to 53.5, flyers seemed to have gone away, good accuracy, ES of 12 and 3100fps. Much easier on brass. RL26 gives rediculous speeds out of the 6.5x284.

Did you try the 215 primers or just the 210?

I've used 210, BR2 & WLR
From what I've heard, the 215's gave a little more velocity but more ES spread. Most people use either the 210 or BR2. I did read that a match shooter stated that WLR worked best with Reloader powders
