6.5 SS load work up

No experience with Berger on animals. I assume as many people talk about them they have to be good.
I killed several Coues deer and Elk and seen multiple other kill the same with various Berger's. They all were one shot kills from 200 to close to 700 yards. I would say if most of your shots are really 0-300 yards your using the wrong bullet if you're using a Berger. At those distances you could fire a block down range and be fine. Where Berger's and other long range bullets like the ELDX is 300+ yards and out past 500 those high BCs are really going to really matter.

About to start fire forming and load work up for my 6.5 SS. I have heard some weird things with people having some problems with the 147 ELDM in the higher velocity rounds tumbling down range. Anyone seeing this? About to start load development and have several bullets to choose.

147eldm
124 hammers
130 berger AR OTM hybrids
130 Sierra Game Changers

This will be a hunting round and will be willing to reach out there. Any thoughts are appreciated.
I was at a long range match last weekend. I saw for myself eldm disintegrate 50 yards down range. It was a hot day and the gun barrel was hot which led to the bullets disintegrating. Bangsteel long range School in Bland Virginia has a video of the eldm disintegration

We have killed more game from 18 to 250 with various Berger (and other match bullets) bullets at high velocity than we have over 300 yards. All bullets, in my opinion (dead is dead), performed fantastic. Held in the crease, not on the shoulder though. From 18 to 1365.

Tagging in... Having a 1/8 twist screwed to axiom, ag adjustable, trigger tech, Hawkins, here shortly. What would be the best bullet to get running with to chase Montana Mulies? Thanks in advance.

My 6.5ss is at the smith being built. Going to shoot 140 bergers for wyoming mule deer. Best option in my opinion

I shot 140 Berger HVLD's at 3250fps in mine. Performed great from 100 yards to over a 1000 on deer and hogs.

Here is the 140 hvld with 57.5g RL 23 .150 off the lands with 210M primers. Ready
