I thought I'd share my process of forming 6.5 SS brass. It seems simpler than others I've seen. I've run three different batches of brass and have monkeyed around with different things and this is what I've most recently settled on doing. In other words, I'll simplify where I can.

1) Run lubed 7mm SAUM brass through shortened 7 SAUM bushing die with .294" bushing. Shoulder should measure 1.526" with Whidden .420 gauge for a good shoulder crush fit.
2) Run size .263 chucking reamer inside neck to remove doughnut.
3) Trim case length to 1.977".
4) After first firing, trim case to 1.953".
5) Trim neck to .015".
6) Anneal
7) Size with .292 bushing.
8) Check OAL after each firing to ensure consistency. Trim as necessary to shortest case in batch.
