Has anyone tried the 140 ballistic tips on deer loading some up. Just curious how they performed on deer size game . Pushing them about 2950 through chronograph

Just watched this. Worked on an elk. Surely work on a whitetail.
I'm pushing them 3150 in a 280 AI. Deer poison. I have used various ballistic tips in different calibers over the years. Great whitetail bullet. At really close range pushed fast they can be a little messy but I shoot lungs and it's not an issue. You should have no problem at 2950 in a 6.5.

I shoot 140 gr Accubonds over IMR 4350 and they shoot very well.

Yep…you can road hunt elk in OR all day long. MT, no way…don't go there…ever.

Not 140s, but I've used 120s in my 6.5/.284 XP-100 handgun on several hundred deer out to 550 yds. All 1 shooters, all dropped, all several inches of internal damage. The "perfect" deer bullet. The 6.5 PRC is only about 5% more than my gun.
