NoI have lots of Retumbo, H 1000, H 4831, H 4350, RL 33, RL 25, RL23,...... but no RL 26. Is it worth spending $500.00 on 10 LBS just to try? I'll be shooting 140 Berger Hybrids since I have lots
Thanks,
Tod.
NO you already have RL25I have lots of Retumbo, H 1000, H 4831, H 4350, RL 33, RL 25, RL23,...... but no RL 26. Is it worth spending $500.00 on 10 LBS just to try? I'll be shooting 140 Berger Hybrids since I have lots

And RL23.NO you already have RL25
I run H1000 in my 6.5 PRC. I get good velocity, low SD And ES and great accuracyI have lots of Retumbo, H 1000, H 4831, H 4350, RL 33, RL 25, RL23,...... but no RL 26. Is it worth spending $500.00 on 10 LBS just to try? I'll be shooting 140 Berger Hybrids since I have lots

I get 1/4" groups consistently from RL-26 with 140 grain ELD-M's. As far as temp stability is concerned, I haven't had a problem, but I don't live in Arizona. The rifle is an off the shelf Christensen Arms MPR with a Leupold Mk 5HD, 7-35X56 in 6.5 PRC.With many suitable powders on the shelf I wouldn't buy 10 pounds of anything for $500. Prices will drop when people stop panicking and you can ride it out until then.
I've found the accuracy similar to H1000. I was able to get more velocity with the 120GMX from RL-26, but not enough that I'd stop shooting the bullet if I only had H1000. Looks like you have plenty of time powder's, don't get caught up in the hype.
Yup.I use RL26 in 2 65 PRCs & 300 WM. I can't find another powder to match the performance, but I sure wouldn't pay that price. Must be Bruno's.
