My son and I spent some time in the reloading room working on a solid load for his Ruger 6.5PRC. I think we have found the load. Using once fired Hornady brass, hodgdon H1000 powder at 57.4gr, Hornady 147gr ELD Match leads and CCI 200 primers. We used the RCBS full length sizer just to push the shoulders back to factory specs then used a Redding neck sizer to get the neck tension consistent. Verified case length and Finished it off with the RCBS good metal match precision bullet seater. COL set at factory max of 2.950". We were very happy with the results. Max 5 shot spread 10 FPS and a standard Deviation of 4.0. We repeated this 5 shot group three more times. And felt the consistency is very spot on without volume measuring brass and neck turning etc I don't think it will get much tighter. Finished with approximately a .40 MOA without the flyer. And about a .65 MOA flyer included. Cronograph was set 10' from muzzle.
