You should for heck of it try RL26, H1000 or Retumbo even. I haven't tried RL23 with 156 but with 124 Hammer it shoots great and at well over 3200 fps.

I must have a pretty slow barrel. 24" PRC with 156 EOLs in a mid-length action. I start to see mild signs of pressure at:

H1000 - 2802
N565 - 2833
RL26 - 2836
Retumbo - 2861

I've found super accurate loads with each powder so accuracy hasn't been a problem, just not seeing velocities commonly shared. If I stick with this bullet, the best combo for me is looking like 57.2gr of Retumbo at 2840fps. At this point, I'm working up with 140VLDs. Not sure the 156 juice is worth the squeeze for my ranges.

What brass are you using?

What primers have you tried? I was seeing pressure signs early with magnum primers.
I've had 2 barrels on my CA. The original Ridgeline CF barrel didn't give me the velocity that others saw. Now I have a CarbonSix barrel on it and I still see others posting higher velocity. I don't know how they are squeezing as much powder as they're posting into the case (Gunwerks/ADG). If I loaded the same amount, the powder would be spilling over. I'm going to be happy with the 2880fps I'm getting with the 156s.

Just Fed 210Ms. I do have some BR2's and CCI/Fed Mag primers but I don't want to make it worse. The BR2's may be worth trying. I'm not hell-bent on ultimate speed, but I can say with all the powders I've used, everyone of them gives heavy bolt lift and obvious case head marks by 2930fps, if not sooner. Apologies to the OP, not trying to hijack. In a messed up way, I'm glad I'm not the only guy not getting 2950-3k with 156s in a 24 incher. Was pretty bummed about it for awhile there. They do shoot great, no worries there!

For the record, I am using mag primers and I'm getting a verrry faint ejector mark. Primers look good not flat .. not bumping out. I'm not gonna go past 57.2 right now might actually try 57. But I am happy with accuracy to say the least. I know I can get more using RL26 but for now, I'm thinking I've zoned in on a happy spot with this combo on virgin brass. Once I get through this box of 50 next week, I'll anneal (gotta phone a friend for now), bump shoulder and see what happens

Your es and sd aren't horrible but could be better. If you haven't ran through a sizer etc and reset neck tension you might do that. My lapau brass was fairly inconsistent from the factory. Run a mandrel through it and was much better

I did run the brass through a mandrel. My scale may be a weak point in the process. I know it's not the Bentley (it's a RCBS lite).

Plan is to run through a sizer and mandrel both on next lot of new brass
