If you were asking about my load, I have changed since this thread was started. I now use 123 gr AMAX with 28.0 gr of IMR 8208. This rifle is still knocking down coyotes with authority!

I was referring to the O.P. had a guy ask about what ranges the 6.5 grendel will open up on a coyote, thats why i was asking about range

I need to get a 6.5 Grendel upper to swap out with my 458 socom.
I would say 1000 yards. Butif he had asked me that, I would have told him as far as I could see it!

really...you think you would get expansion that far out?
It all depends on the bullet. The 123 AMAX, I believe would open up ok at 700 yards. But if a coyote was standing there at 1000, the trigger might get pulled

I just ordered a 6.5 Grendel 24" upper from Alexander Arms. I'm going to put an ATN Thor on top of it for night time hog hunting.
