6.5 Gibbs

hey guys,

I am starting to put my loads together and am looking for the max case length for the 6.5 Gibbs. playing around with my chamber from pac-nor it looks like i am getting 2.530 inches. Does that seem right to you guys or do i need to go shorter.

Gibbs based is cartridges on the 30-06 case, so trim length would be 2.494. BUT like most wildcats the specs are never cast in stone. Some people like to use 270 brass so that the can get a little more neck length, and they have their reamers built for that. If I were you I would call Pac-Nor and ask them, or you could neck down a 270 case and see if it will chamber without putting a heavy crimp on the end if the case.
