6.5 creedmoor heavy bullet powder

I'm build a 6.5 creedmoor for bench shooting matches
Don't do it. Waste of effort. Do a 6mm BRA instead, with a no-turn neck. Do it NOW, because you will anyway, after the Creed disappoints vs all the 6BR's you will shoot against. If you are only shooting 100 yards, go with a 30BR if score shooting, or a 6ppc if group shooting.

Just a hunter here. I have 156 gr. Oryx and 160 gr. Weldcores. Given the list of powders I use Woodleigh recommended H4831SC for their 160's.

I built a 22" 6.5 Creedmoor to use with a TB UL7 and 153.5's. R16, R23 and N565 are what I had. R23 gave me a bit more velocity. All three gave me a bit over 2500 fps.

The 30BR is real hard to beat up to 300 yds for score shooting. handles the wind very well. 6BR is super as well

RE: The build - what twist? I have an 8 and a 7 - the 7 is a 26" and has informed me that 140s+H4350+fast = blown up groups, which is why I originally bought the 153.5s. I ultimately wasn't planning on using them and got 1k of a different 140 to try to run slower, but then I scored a ton of same-lot 153.5s for my 6.5-284, so I'm back to having some available to use in the 6.5CM.

RE: The loads - do you mind posting the data they gave you? I have data on 8 other powders but not MagPro or RL17.

This is (almost) all QL data provided by Berger to me over the phone - use appropriately.

I starting loading the first 153.3s last night. Have 100 cases ready to go, was going to do 50 with H4350, was thinking W760 for another test but I'm thinking maybe RL-26 now seeing the book data.
