Use Retumbo and 210 primers. Should end up somewhere between 56-58 gr of Retumbo with velocity in the 2950-3000 fps range. With the Eldx, I suggest you use the Berger seating depth protocol to find the best seating depth first, then work up the load. I shoot Eldx's in 4 different calibers and haven't found anything universal......some like jump, others not so much. My COAL with the 143 is 3.170"

I've shot eldX and eldM in 4 different rifles from 6.5 up to 300wm

In each case All the Hornady eld's Like to be around .010" off the rifleing so .005-.015" seems to be acceptable jump. They may do well seated deeper but they are not temperamental like other VLD type bullets. So start close before you search for longer jumps and save your self some time.
Good luck
James

I have found that 51 gr. H4831 ,CCI. mag primmer is the best in my Savage 16/116 I am .008 off the lands ,that is the ticket in this rifle,2940 fps .230 three shots at 100 and in my bench rest guns I'm pushing a little harder at 51.4 H 4831 at .015 off the lands with 29 " barrels 2980 fps. Retumbo and Re loader 19 have shown good results also .Im sticking with the H 4831 because I always seem to be able to find a good supply of this powder . As a bench rest shooter I use a lot of powder and I don't want to be starting load development over because of poor availability .Hope this helps you

I've had good results with the 143 ELD-X and 55gr of 7977 with CCI 200's seated at 3.035 OAL. Getting 2895 FPS with .530 groups at 100. This is coming out of a 26" Lilja barrel. Good luck!

Garett 53.7 grains of H4831 sc ,what is your pressure like as I had primmer s starting to flatten out at 52.5 grains ?What is your barrel length on your gun .Each Rifle reacts differently to loads that what makes this form so interesting. I appreciate all the guys that share to help others .Thanks to you all

Hey everything has been looking good on my end I've heard of people getting 55 grains of 4831sc. I haven't seen pressure yet but didn't want to go any higher with this load being right where I wanted it. 2926 is a good speed with 147s and I can't complain about 1/4" groups
