Looking at the photo in post #8 (thanks Feenix), it shows a pointed bullet, which is BAD for tubular feed magazines. That might be why it says "Not for use in revolvers or lever guns". The problem with lever guns is tubular magazine (bullet point is resting on primer of cartridge in the magazine). With the revolver, problem is the bullet is too long, and would probably protrude from the front of the cylinder preventing the cylinder from rotating when firing or even prevent the cylinder from closing when trying to load the revolver. They recommend single shot for above reasons.
