This is my fist post, but saw your issue. I live in Missouri and coyote hunt a wide variety of terrain - anywhere from open river bottoms to brushy hills. I have a 6-24 Bushnell on a RRA, but experienced problems with very close run-ins. After watching some 3-gun matches, I placed a Bushnell TRS red dot with an offset on my rail. On close shots, all I do is roll my rifle slightly and am able to shoot with both eyes open. The 6-24 is zeroed at 200 and the red dot is zeroed at 20. The set up has really helped me out. The red dot is really small and has not been any problem.
