Does anyone know where I can get a set of reloading dies for a 375-338 Chatfield-Taylor? I recently inherited a 375-338 but my uncles reloading dies were sold along with all the reloading equipment. The rifle will be a wall hanger if I cannot find a set.

There are a couple of ways to accomplish getting the dies you want:

Place ads in several of the Classified ads forums labeled as 'Wanted'. Yes, I know this takes a little bit of effort but you decide what these dies are worth to you.

In this day and age, there are literally dozens of variations of types of dies offered by run of mill die makers. I suggest casting the chamber of the rifle you need dies for and get a good set of chamber dimensions. The reason behind this is for the reason that this is not a SAAMI cartridge, therefore, the variations can be many.

The good news is that with the advent of bushing dies and the fact that this is a belted magnum case, you can create the dies you need simply. Using a mandrel to open the neck, a bushing die to adjust that opening and fireforming those cases to conform to your chamber.

As of right now RCBS doesn't have those dies listed. I am still searching.
Send them an email. They often have no listing, but WILL make a set at a custom die price. It will still be in THEIR list…they may even have them gathering dust on a shelf.
I got my 45-120 dies from them, it was not on their Series 'D' list, but they had them in a list somewhere.
Give it a go, you may be surprised.

Cheers.

I emailed them and a few other custom shops.
