Anyone ever killed a coyote with the little 35 grain bullet out of a .222 or .223. I have 2 boxes that I picked up somewhere in Superformance .222. I might need to re-sight in this rifle and give it a go. Hoping that they won't exit.

Heck, I shoot groundhogs with 40 grain poly point .22 magnum bullets. But a .22 caliber 35 grainer traveling twice as fast as my 40 grain pills ought to do it.

Doubt if exits will be a problem. They will likely disintegrate in the body.

In my experience the 35 gr V-max is way to lightly constructed for coyote.
I personally like the 45gr Sierra spitzer for fur! Hard bullet with controlled expansion.
