Have you seen the Maker's 350gn specifically for it? Next to a 250gn SMK and a half-modified 6.5CM case for scale:

I was reading that necking up the the 6 GT brass to 338 (multi-step, 7mm, .308, to .338) is the easy button. Supposedly just neck up and full length resize. Maybe a little trim. I haven't vetted it out yet. I have 200 rounds of loaded ammo (Gorilla ammo: 210gr tsx, and 285gr subs) and then a pile of 300gr SMK's.

I'll have to look up that easy way. I have a couple hundred random 6.5CM cases I'd planned to use for this - so far I've set up a T7 head with a carbide 6mm to 308 neck up mandrel, a 338 mandrel, then a Lee 8.6 die with no button in it. Used a WFT trimmer to do the bulk trimming and knock them back to just over max length.

Once I get the barrels set up I'll figure out the headspace using Redding comp shell holders and run them trough a second sizing die for the final fit. I have a couple cases cut short to measure actual chamber length with the Sinclair's gauge to set the final trim length after that. It's a decent amount of work but I had the brass and the time waiting on parts.

Holy Moly, this is turning into a show and tell, that's Cool. Hope you all don't mind, this is my 338 RUM. Win.Model 70 action, Wyatt 4" box and bottom metal, Douglas Palma barrel 30", jewel trigger set at 1lb, Manner stock. Leupold 5HD 7-35×56. Loaded with scope 16lbs. What a Hoot to Shoot.
