Thank youIf you're looking for factory ammo, last I saw Federal had a 250 NPT loading. That's exactly where I'd look

Awesome. Around here we have the first two weeks of November for deer and dogs are allowed, but only during the rifle season (2 weeks). Heaven forbid they ever shorten our season with dogs, folks around here would have a civil war! LOL. Cheersjvspopeye, I very familiar with "dog hunting" deer.....I'm from Louisiana. I've a cousin that's been hunting with dogs, deer and coons, since the late '60's! He loves it, he must.......he feeds that bunch of hounds for 12 months and only gets to use them about one. Louisiana has seriously shortened the dog season! memtb
Interesting that you're from Louisiana. I was stationed at Ft Polk for 4 years, and while there, become friends with some people from the Simpson/Slagle/Kurthwood area. They are considered to be my 2nd family now. I am now on a lease with some of them, and return every year to hunt deer there. Love the state, love the people, and love the deer/hog/rabbit hunting. I'd retire there if my wife would be willing, unfortunately, it's a bit too much country for her, but she allows me to go back every year.jvspopeye, I very familiar with "dog hunting" deer.....I'm from Louisiana. Well, when I go down there, I go to the lease, and about once a day, I make a trip to the gas station/cafe in Hornbeck to eat, and then back to the lease. I'll make a trip to the meat market in DeRidder before I go back to iowa, and get a few pounds of alligator, some catfish fillets, and maybe some cajun sausage, and that's about as much interacting as I get done. The rest of the time, I'm either at the camp drinking coffee or hunting.hadjii, I love many things about Louisiana, have lots of family there! What I don't like....a couple or 3 million too many people! memtb

LOL. That's no lie. Boy, I could tell some stories about my adventures there. I traded a 16 guage pump shotgun for a 1976 F250 hi-boy that had sat under a pine tree with the hood up for at least a couple of years. That was my huntin' truck. So many fun times...so many stories.
Nope. Seaport dark roast. LOL. That stuff will set your hair on fire, especially if you only get to drink it for one week a year.A "hi-boy" Ford truck, if my wife were to find a really nice one.....my savings would take another "hit"!
In an earlier post, you mentioned drinking coffee.....I assume that would be Community Coffee! This virus thing is starting to get personal. We order a bunch of Community Coffee, a while back......haven't received it yet! This epidemic may soon enter a "critical phase"! memtb
Well, they also drink community coffee, but by and large, its seaport. It's about the same as drinking german beer. You have to build up a tolerance for it. The first day or two, I feel like I'm plugged into an electrical outlet. My friends really feed me well on Louisiana food while I'm down there. Nothing like that southern cooking cooked outside at deer camp. I could stay out at deer camp all year, and be about as happy as a clam.Seaport!!! That's surprising....almost "blasphemy"! memtb

Sounds like my kind of lifestyle, except different kind of critters around here.Well, when I go down there, I go to the lease, and about once a day, I make a trip to the gas station/cafe in Hornbeck to eat, and then back to the lease. Actually, they share it with me, but yes, I am a blessed man. I absolutely love it when I'm there. Just wished my wife did, but that'll never happen. You are a "blessed man".....not " only" to have a hunting lease in Louisiana, but to share it with friends! memtb
