You can use anything for LR shooting. Only you can define LR and success. The 3 inch target I hit at 275yards with 22 is LR. The 700 yard 6 inch I hit with a 338 Edge is not LR to me.

Yeah, you can. There are easier chamberings but how about Berger 250s.
