Never heard of anyone using retumbo for a 338 win mag and hodgdons doesn't even show it as a recommended powder.
Try IMR4350. That's what I us in mine and it works awesome!

retumbo is a bit to slow for the 338win. Not enough expansion ratio with that cal.. You could burn it but you would be below normal velocity even with heavily compressed charges. Better to use one of the 4350's, 4831's, or rl19. I've been burning rl19 in my #1 in 338win tossing 225's for about a decade, and I don't plan to change.
