Will the 205 possibly work in a 1in 10?
Looks like the 205's are made for 1 in 12.75 inch barrels or faster. They should have no problems in a 1 in 10. Hammers are generally recommended to be used in "light for caliber" configurations to increase gyro stability (SG). 1.5 SG is typically the minimum recommendation for hammers, with higher numbers even better. According to Steve, the owner, as well as many other experienced reloaders, the high SG also improves terminal performance since it aids in the petal shedding. Essentially, it keeps the bullet spinning after penetration instead of tumbling. This allows the petals to shed/project perpendicular to the bullet trajectory instead of just staying in the same trajectory as the bullet.

Running a general SG calc with Miller's formula shows SG of around 2.4 in a 1 in 10. I've not heard of anyone who has been able to spin Hammers fast enough to cause bullet damage during flight. They're solid copper alloy…..no jackets to shed, and the tip/hollow point hasn't come apart.
