I like 375 rum Bertram brass. It doesn't get confused with my 300 rums. It gets neck turned and everything and haven't seen issues.
Can you read it ? I think that was zoomed in some .The 285s I tested shot better than my best load with 300smk. I'll steal your load and try it too
I'll have to adjust for my edge. All I tried was r33 when testing. I like h1000 a bit better thoughCan you read it ? I think that was zoomed in some .
Rum Man
Nosler, bertram, and adg and I believe a few others338 rum Brass more readily available these days?
i'm curious as to why no one mentions the 338-378 Wby mag? is it because of the belted case? i'm over 2900 fps with the 300's with retumbo & have just started working the load. i started with h50bmg & couldn't get the velocity so am trying the retumbo & just got in some vit. n570 & will be trying it to.
I'd be shocked if a 338-30 nosler or 338-28 nosler would even get close. Definitely interested if they can though.Other option flr the op
If you don't want to do a 4" mag box I think a 338-30nosler throated to seat the bullets correctly would get you close (say 100fps) in fps to an edge/rum and still feed a 300 berger from the standard mag box.
Because he has a regular magnum boltface in his action. If he had the larger boltface I would have said Lapua AI - Brass is very strong and it will gain 100fps over the edge. The 338-378 is a good option, but someone needs to make some solid brass for it.
