I'm looking to buy ~100 pieces of 338 Federal brass. I have a backorder with Starline but it's been almost a year at this point. I know necking up 308 to 338 Fed is pretty easy, but I'd prefer to have the proper headstamp.

Even with how long I've been waiting I think the best bet is waiting on a backorder from Starline. I've gotten a little bit of once fired brass, but I'm guessing most people keep it to reload or aren't shooting much given the current price.
Do yourself a favor and buy Lapua 308 brass and neck it up. I've been doing it for years works great and far better than any 338 Federal headstamped brass you can buy.

I have 338 on back order with them also. I also have 100 Lapua 308 standing by….but like you, I'd rather have the correct head stamp
