338 edge

If I was building another, it would have a 9" twist as mine did. You can go 8" twist, but don't think it's necessary.
I don't know what you want to do with it, but don't expect a great jump in velocity over the 338RUM.

Cheers.
This is Very True !
I built two 338's identical, 30" barrels , carbon , t-3 Termanator, Remington actions . The 338 Rum and 300 gr bergers hit 2883 ft.per.sec and the 338 Edge 300 hr bergers hit 2884 ft.per.sec.
The Rum , Edge are so close ....it depends on throat work and if you add the +P .

I'm building a defiance action single feed any ideas on what I should throat it to? , planning on either 270grain Hornadys , 300grain Bergers and 300grain accubond long range .

???
How many grains difference in load capacity, between those two loads?
Same powder in both loads?
Thanks

I had to dig deep for the info but the 338 Rum was 95.6 gr of H-1000.
The 338 Edge was 92 .4 gr of H-1000.
Both are 30 " Carbon barrels.
338 Rum is a Benchmark and the 338 Edge is a Proof.

Please work up . This is Max Load in my Rifles .
