338/300 win mag

Does anybody have any experience with a 338/300 win mag? My grandpa built one twenty plus years ago and loved it. I think he called it a .338 Taylor. I have a love for .338 rifles, and am looking for a project.

I know a guy who's having one built right now. Performance would be in the same range as the 340 Weatherby, 330 Dakota, 33 Nosler and 338/375 Ruger. It's a great way to use up some 300 Win Mag brass.

Just built a 338-300 improved. Hanging with a Lapua with the lights , will be trying the heavies soon.

I went with 338 Norma Mag. 100% of the performance of 338 Lapua at 75% of the cost.
