308 WIN to 260 REM is it worth it?

I finally decide to get rid of my 308 WIN and switch to 260 REM, but I still have plenty of 308 brass. So I'm kind of interested in converting my 308 WIN brass to 260 REM. Had anyone tried it and what are the steps? I was thinking outside neck turn 308 and run it through 260 FL or Neck sizer... Thanx for any help.

Some folks are necking down in two stages - first to 7mm-08 then to .308. You have to be very careful to set your depth just right. I started down this road but never finished the case conversion process.

I've done 308 to 260 in 2 stages -- with a neck turn and 2 re-sizing procedures I decided it was more than the effort was worth -- save yourself some time at minimal expense use 7-08 neck sized to 260 in 1 step followed by a trim .I've got a keg of 308 brass that I'll have for my next 308 build.
