.308 AR Barrel

Hi guys,
I am considering either a Criterion or a Rainer Arms Ultra Match - any thoughts? I am going to purchase a 20" barrel for LR-308/AR-10 set up in 308.

Thanks!
I recently purchased a Criterion .308 match barrel from Fulton Armory, and built a rifle using a DPMS slick sided match upper which I converted to a side charger handle. Brother does this barrel shoot. It shoots every bit as well as a couple of Kreiger's I have on other rifles. This was shot during break-in ( 100 yrds) and with Remington Match, which does not have the best reputation. IT does even better with Federal Match. I haven't even tried to work up a handload for yet. The Rem Match is loaded with 168 grain SMK's.

Wow Awesome shooting there my friend. Thanks for the info and pic.

You know your jump?
Haven checked against the m80, but makes it great for 180's and up. I don't and haven't "jammed" any ever in any rifle. I "jump" all and some as much as .250" (bullet dependant as I load several weights for same firearm). I haven't done any custom throat for 1 or 2 specific bullets. I just shoit and load for fun. I'll get back to you when I have more info

Criterion 20in Rifle Length Gas System, .308 M118 LR, 1-11 Twist, 416R SS, shoots 1/2 MOA all day with Federal 150 gr Power Shock, and Federal 168 gr, Fusion factory ammo in my Aero Precision M5 build. Running a tight patch through that match barrel feels smooth as silk! Wonder what kind of groups I could get with reloads?

Glad someone weighed in on that barrel!

So I am getting a bonus this week from work that I was totally not expecting so I decided to grab 2 barrels: I got the .308 Criterion, 20 inch - the one that was mentioned above and I also decided to give Wilson Combat a try, .223 Wylde - 20" Super Sniper. What the heck it's only money. Thanks for all the comments and insights guys.

Thanks Brother. It shoots really well. A bit heavy.:p
True these AR10/LR-308's are definitely not to be carried around like some 14.5" AR 15 with a pencil barrel. Think like Area Denial weapon, take to the range and so on but they sure are a lot of **** fun!

be very afraid of the wc 308's (or it might be just wilson)! if it states "rifle length gas", you might be in for a rollercoaster ride! if you build it yourself if where the issue lies. getting the correct gas tube length as another forum there's guy that went thru many lengths (pun intended) to get a correct length. rifle gas length doesn't match dpms or armalite and sometimes doesn't match their own as it changes. either it was on this forum or sniper's hide? good hunting!
