300wby bullet choice

Twist will be more important to terminal performance and bc. Both will suffer with marginal twist. Accuracy can still be excellent when marginally twisted.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Ive decided that I'll be going with the 200gr accubonds. They've got a good BC and work great on big game!

That's good to hear! Thanks

The 1:10 part will work fine for the 210/215.

But as for the 11.25" with the 210 VLD's in the .308 Win, that might be on a gun-to-gun basis. What works in mine, might not work for someone else. That's more of something that folks need to tinker with, instead of taking as a definitive.

Nosler inflates their BC's...Just a heads-up. So you might want to confirm your drops before taking your drop-charts as the honest truth when using their given BC numbers.

Let us know how it works out.

Just for more information, if you have trouble with getting it to group.
Long bearing surface bullets tend to shoot better in the long freebore of the Weatherbys. I have a Vanguard that threw fliers with 208 ELDs. So I switched to the 225 grain BTHP and found a very accurate and consistent load with 7828, right at 1/2 MOA.
Also if it isn't braked I would strongly consider one. If it's a sporter barrel you may have to consider a high quality clamp on brake, because of the small diameter is not safe to cut threads on. It helps with recoil and taming barrel harmonics...
Good luck..

Thanks for the advice. Btw the gun does have a custom threaded muzzlebrake made by my gunsmith. I will post my results when i get time to go shooting
