Did some load development for a buddy's new Savage 116BSS .300RUM. Components are RP brass, Fed 215 primers, RL-25 and Barnes TSX 180gr pills. Worked from 90 to 96 grains and found two sweet spots....93gr and 96gr. At the end I got tired of shooting paper and fired the three loads at 96gr at my steel 300 yard gong. The results are in the first pic! The holes were easily visible from 300 yards through the 14X scope...they looked orange...when I inspected closer I could see the all copper Barnes has fused itself to the inside of the hole!! (pic #2) Pretty neat!! The third pic is of the rifle and scope (Loopy 4.5-14x40, 30mm tube and B&C reticle). It also has a Holland QD brake installed.
