Recently picked up a 300 WSM, it’s a kimber montana gen1. Got it for 300$. Couldn’t pass it up. The guy told me it was a tack driver with 150’s, however. I do not want to shoot such a light bullet for moose, black bear & elk. I’ve got a bunch of factory 180’s from nosler. And they shoot about 2.5” @ 100, so I loaded 168 ABLRS’s and got them to group right at 1”. I prefer heavier in the 180-210 range. What bullets do u guys shoot in that range and what powders have u guys found took best. I have a decent variety, but just trying to save time. Thanks in advance, safe hunting.

I propel the 215 Berger at 2850 FPS with RL-17 out of a 24" barrel. If I do my part, it is .5-.75 MOA to 966Y.

300 WSM and hunting 180’s x RL16, the 4350’s, and a handful of other powders lit by a quality Magnum primer works really well @ 2850 to 3010 fps within a wide distance range dispersion that reliably reaches to 700 yds dependent on the fine tune of rifle components during ‘smithing/assembly.
