It has been a few years since I picked up my new to me Winchester Stainless 300 WSM. At the time, the only time, I tried to work up some loads the only decent bullet I could find, available, was the 175 Berger Hunting Bullet.

I see heavier/longer ones are now available. Since I put the rifle away last time there are now the E-Tips, not familiar with them. Budget is tight and the Bergers are even pushing it, wondering if the ole Sierras might do fine?

Kind of a wide open post, just trying to find a starting point right now.

Whats the hot ticket these days and what is a budget minded approach. Would like to hear both ends of the spectrum. Hoping to be hunting in high desert with a great possibility of longer shots. Still have a few months to get dialed in and practiced up.

I do still have a fair amount of the 175 Bergers but am wide open to suggestions.

Thanks!
