300 WSM Build Help

I plan on doing the same. I have quite a few of the 190/210 ABLR and 208 Amax. Thought about playing with the 200/220 smk as well due to having a lot for a blackout I had. I could see where a 160-180 gr would be useful. Our TX whitetail might have impressive racks but the bodies are wimpy compared to deer north of the red river. Thanks again shep.

I have found that the 208 amax was a very accurate bullet. I ran them at 2900 and had to increase the bc in my calculator to make hits at far targets. I used .670 and it was good on steel to 1300 yards. I never noticed the tip melting and lowering the bc. Maybe out of a rum or Lapua mag they melted but not at 2900. One of the most accurate bullets I ever used.
Shep
