Do i need to have anything special done to accommodate to shoot 215 bergers. iv got a broden timberline action coming matched up with a HC carbon barrel. Lane precision will be building it for me. witch mag box? bottom metal? etc

There is an article on Long Range Only by Ryan Mantha you or your smith should read. You/he may already know about it. It is a LR .300WinMag reamer for shooting the 215gn Bergers. Click on Forums/Gunsmithing and it's the 3rd thread down. Good info.

Wyatt's extended box and good to go. I have shot a few Lane Precision rifles. They are awesome. You will be very happy with it.

I'm having one built with this reamer also known as the broz reamer and a wyatts mag box.

You are going to be very happy I'm sure of that. My 300 Win Mag is built on a Borden Timberline, 26" Brux with a extended Wyatt box. It is barely long enough to take my rounds. But it works and I'm 30 thou off the lands. I run the 215 Berger right at 3000 fps with H1000.

You should really give the 181 hammer hunters a try. I ran the 215 Berger's in mine and the 200 eld. But i just got a new box of hammers.
If you are ordering the barrel make sure you get a twist so you can run heavier monos. You may lose the repeater option but they are very good and amazing on game. You can always shoot the others but it's nice to have the option for monos.

You need at least a 1in10 twist however a 1in9 would give you more options with the new vld projectiles. A Wyatts extended mag will work perfectly.

Start with a 1:9 twist, extended mag box, and tell your smith what bullets you'd like to try and trust his trust him.

I haven't shot the Hammers but the 183gr Peregrine's never cease to amaze me.

The consistency of the well made expanding copper bullets never ceases to amaze me.

20 years ago you couldn't have paid me enough to shoot any of the mono's but today I am completely sold on them to the extent that unless I'm forced to use something else they are all I will shoot. When I can't get them at all I'll shoot the Hornady Interbond, Accubond, and Accubond LR.
