I emailed in to Berger bullets asking their recomendation for a hunting bullet and had said I was thinking of the 185 for elk. Now I don't know if it really was Walt himself but it was signed that way. Anyway the recomendation for a "hunting" bullet for elk and lower was the 168 VLD. He said the 185 would be used for like moose.
I thought that was interesting based on some of the comments here.
