Can you reference the above picture please?

A good magnet with a stainless, non-magnetic cup around it, or you'll just attach to the sides of the chamber.
You could try the magnetic tip on the end of a scribe to see for yourself if you have steady hands

Never tried this with only a no-go. How did you break the go gauge?

The stainless part separated from the black part.

Once set, remove rifle from vise, tilted rifle back and opened bolt and gauge just fell out for me. I use PTG gauges though instructions were from Foster since I can't find my PTG instructions easily...yet.

Never seen those particular gauges, but yes, those are extractor grooves

I'll be calling Forster today to get some clarifications on their instructions in relation to the extractor use.

Update:

Forster - Not necessary to remove the extractor on the belted gauges. That is indeed an extractor groove on the gauges.

Northland Shooters - Chamber too small in area just ahead of the belt. Polish/remove .0005" material. No warranty.

MY BAD! Ejector is only needed to be removed IMO. Thats what puts excess pressure on gauge. Not enough coffee this morning!!! Dang it!!!
