300 Rum /w 225gr Eld-Match Starting Point

I'm going to start working up some loads for my new benchmark barrel. It's a heavy 30", 1:9.5, 5r twist on a sako action. I'm looking for some suggestions.

RL26 (working up from 85grs)
225gr Eld-Match
If RL26 doesn't perform moving to Retumbo or RL33. Also going to try Berger 230's. I'm hoping to achieve 3100 fps with this set up. Any thoughts?

I shot the 225 out of my rum using Norma brass fed 215gm primers and retumbo. 26 inch tube. At 87 gr which is 2 grains less than Hornady manual shows max load I got pressure and velocity was only about 2850. I gave up on these and shoot the 210 Berger's at 3100 with no issues.

I'd go to 95 gr rl33 or 102 gr rl50 myself with a 225 hdy in the 300 rum... rl25 and rl26 are a bit fast burning to get the heavy pill to 3K easily... Both of my 300rum rifles are doing very well with both powders using the 225 hdy hpbt, rem brass, and 215's....

Thanks guys for the imput, I'm hoping to start testing next month. It's a brand new barrel so I got to go through there break in process. I'm hoping those eld-match shoot as well as they do in my other rifles

I've got a factory remington long range in 300 Rum that should be here tomorrow.
I'm looking for as much as I can get.
Would like to take advantage of the bc if the 225 eld match. I have nothing but nosler brass do far.
Wanting to push it to a mile if I can (on steel).

I've been using these bullets recently and having very good luck with H-1000. Running them in a factory Sendero and shot a 3" group at 500 yards a week before hunting camp. Have not been back to range since returning and have not run across chronograph at this time. Ballistics would indicate around 2960 fps.

I got a 700 Long Range in 300 rum last year. It took about 100 rounds to get the barrel to speed up. I shoot the 225 eldm with a max charge of Retumbo in Norma brass; it shoots at 2970. I've held under an moa out to 1450 but haven't shot it any further.

Update
I've just finished breaking in the barrel and started working up some loads. I've got just over 50 rounds down the pipe and expected I might gain more speed as I get a few more down range. I started to see pressure signs at 88.5 grs of RL26. 86.5 grs looked promising and will be working around that. Velocity avg 3068

All depends on temperature for me, 26in barrel, factory rem700, 87grs of H1000, @ 32 degrees F. There moving 2850. & @ 70 degrees it's 2970 or basically 3000... shoots **** good and it's a light load. Hornady brass w/ the 225 Matchs. Iv shot out to 1560yds and the gun is still highly accurate without pushing the bullets super fast. Still has a hell of thump when it gets there.

With a gun like the rum It's all about the shooter, it can do whatever you want it to do if it's set up to do it. After that it's all about the skill and practice of the shooter behind the gun. This is my opinion though, take from it what you will. Have a wonderful day guys and I hope you all are happy with the cannons that have brought us together, I know I surely love mine to death.
