Glad it worked out and you're happy. He told me the same thing when I designed my RUM reamer. I did .3084" with .5" long throat. Great for speed but is finicky with certain bullets

I found going to a .3088 throat took a lot of finicky out!!

Nope. Completely reasonable loads. It's the throat and 32" barrel that gets me there. I've got a few pieces of R-P brass with 14 firings on it

Mine seems to be more of a powder burn issue jumping that far. I don't believe my throat diameter is at fault. I use RL33 and it generally needs more resistance immediately to achieve low ES. By using the 225ELD-Match with a longer bearing surface i believe RL33 has just enough initial resistance to provide low ES and SD. That's my theory anyway

300 RUM is my favorite 30 cal factory option!!!
yes remington is using a sammi reamer
almost anyone building new customs have their own min spec match reamers
when you do build on it have a wyatts CFE-9 installed in your action and ask the gunsmith to throat it accordingly for this extra mag space with the bullets of your choosing!

I thought is was longer than that!

Freebore is .110". The angle length is not included in the freebore measurement.
