Yes it true, the hybrids often don't care where they are seated. On quite a few occasions it works, Just seat to fit and feed from mag box and check if bullet is not deep into lands (kissing is ok) and work up a powder charge. From .165" to kissing lands many chamberings did just that. 6mm 95 classic hunters two 6mm-284s 105 hybrids 6 BR and two 6mm-284s, 215 Bergers in 308 and 300 RUM, 230 Berger in 300 RUM and 300 WSM, 168 classic hunter in four 7 rem mags, and two 338 RCMs long throated and regular throated with 300 gr. I am sure there are more but it is all I can bring up off the top of my head.
