Why would it not be an outstanding """30""" caliber rifle...
One would think that were my F Class 308 rig shoots good at 8 and 900 meters,,, would the RUM 30 caliber not reach out past where mine drops off...
The extreme max loaded hot can get my 168gr boolitz into the 10 to 1100 meters before things go sideways. Ha.
I shot my LR 30/06 LR in Southern BC's 1 km challanges,,, pretty sure the RUM would over take that distance as well...
The thread is about """30 caliber""" and something in that class that shows promising results in a factory configuration,,, from what I gather...
The combinations of those 2 elements in factory rifle stock and in 30 caliber are impressive one would think...
This is not saying that other 30 caliber configurations aren't capable of being good shooters either...
Of course there are better this'es and that's,,, but for the bang per buck I would have to say yes...
Not only can that setup show good results on paper,,, it can substitute as mid weigth hunting rifle...
The rifle,,, good optic,,, and dialed in ammo are 10% of the mix,,, the real 90% comes from the man that makes it happen...
I would think that our friend with the skills under his belt is more than capable of managing what he holds in his hands.
By the way,,, nice package Austin,,, good on you for taking on the good times,,, that's what really counts.
