300 PRC Load

I worked up a load for my Browning X-Bolt in 300 prc. I started at 75.0 grs of H1000 - lapua brass- fed gm215m primers- Berger 215gr hybrids. I ran it up to 79 grs increasing .5 gr increments. Took it out this morning to see what load performed the best. I did not get a muzzle velocity. Here are the targets. The first good one was 77.0grs. The next was 78.5grs. either one may be very effective. I will pick one or both and shoot out to 500 yds and see which performs best. These are all 3 shot groups.

Very nice man! Have you reached pressure at all yet? I reached pressure at 78 grains of H1000. I think i know what my problem is, its just crap brass. But heres my load:

210 Berger Vld Hunter
Hornady Brass
76.5 grains of H1000
Federal GMM LRMP
2900 fps avg

Was hoping to shoot it 3000 but i definently think i need to get new brass.

My node with a 26" barrel was about the same using ADG brass, Fed 215M, and Berger 215's. Most consistent groups I had were at 77.55 gr H1000 with a muzzle velocity around 2915 fps.

It just amazes me of how these 30 cals can perform. I have a 300 weatherby mark 5 and it can't even come close to the 300 prc for accuracy.

Mine 300 PRC shoots bug holes like your's too. It really is an awesome cartridge.

Using 77.5 gr of Rel 26 with the 215 Bergers. Shoot 2973 fps and CBTO of 2.878. Great load usually .35 moa. 300 PRC great caliber.
