Too some time this afternoon to do some shooting at the range.

I took my first 30 Nosler XP-100 built by Jon Beanland. Confirmed zero at 100 yards then shot some distance with it. Went it to 1,100 yards with it successfully. I also took my second 30 Nosler built by Shane Howeth of H2 Creations but did not shoot it at distance due to time constraints.

I have a video of one shot. Camera took a fall… ;)

Targets are showing results with a Berger 210 VLDH pushed by 80.5 grains RL26, lit by a F215GMM primer all housed in ADG brass.

30 Nosler #1 gets right at 2825 fps
30 Nosler #2 gets right at 2850 fps

I have a .221 Fireball and a 7mm Benchrest. I passed on a .30 Remington because of the recoil, although it was very pleasant to shoot with reduced loads. But, why bother, I have a .30 and .357 Herret, which I really enjoy shooting. I have been toying with the idea of making a switch barrel XP 100. I by no means belittle some one chambering a .30 Nosler in an XP 100 and actually admire him, but it's not for me. But I would like to fire one, ———ONCE.

Could you share your load and bullets you like. Thanks
If you look closely at my targets, you will see my load data. ;))

I have primarily shot Berger 210 VLDH bullets in both 30 Nosler XP's. I have briefly shot some other bullets but only started with doing load development on them. I likely will stay with the Berger bullets.

I have to cry foul on the load data. I beleive 99% of us don't have nor can we obtain the mythical RL-26... it's Pixie dust infused Unicorn dookie. Can't get it. Wish I could. :) Pure envy here. Nice shoot'n!

I've shot a XP100 in 221 Fireball back in the 70's - my brother still has it, crazy accurate. I shake too much these days to shoot anything that doesn't pull up to my shoulder. An XP100 in one of those uber-potent Nosler cartridges? That's beyond my imagination.
