30-378 weatherby powder recommendation

I was looking at the h50bmg. Doesn't show the greatest speed in the manuals but has a good case fill. Nosler only shows 84-85% case fill with re33 and retumbo with a 200 but I guess a slower powder might need the longer barrel to digest it? Has anyone tried n570?

The powder burn rate from H1000 to US89 should work. As with anything else, YMMV. Good luck!

For the heavier bullets you will want Retumbo or N570. Then try H1000 or the dirty RL33

I shoot N570 exclusively in mine, with 220 ELD-x's, 100 grains at 3100 FPS with SD's @ 3.
N565 will be close too, but a tad slower in burn rate than H1000
Very temp stable.

Thank you. Berger put QL info at 106 max @3117 with 91% case fill. I see Hornady has they're 208 eldm @ 3200 with 33 and 869. I thought n570 was really close to 33 in burn rate ? And same with LRT?

I use it exclusively in my 6.5 -300 wby. Also works good in 338 Lapua.

I'm on the west side near mt Rainier so probably wait to see how the other powders do. Really wish I had better brass to work with. Might tell him to sell the Hornady and try and find some more Norma or weatherby brass but he's pretty bummed out so I might try and work with it. Crazy how far off it is
