i see that you alter the rails on a 700 action to use this case if said action was a 300 or 7mm magnum .my question is can you do any thing to the action if you want to go bact to say the 300 winchester?

When I open the feed rails for a nosler case or Ultra case, its only a little material that is removed from each side of the feed rails to get the case to slip through. Should be fine if its done correctly. If too much material is taken off then you might have issues. If you have feeding issues, you can always use a Wyatts center feed box to feed the belted case if the feed rails are giving you problems.
