28 Nosler re-bore

The 28 Nosler is a popular round and for good reasons. Does anybody know if you can "clean up" a 7mmRM chamber with a 28 nosler reamer? Has anybody done it?

I'm interested in this also. I have a 30-338 that I have been thinking of going to 30 Nosler.

The Nosler rounds mimic the Creedmoor design philosophy: High twist rate, shorter cartridge leaving enough room for a long bullet to be seated out long. A cleaver recipe for designing a case. I like it.

I don't think a 28 nosler uses the same bolt face as a 7 rem mag . you need a ultra mag action .

Bolt face is the same. I put them in 98 mausers. A remington you just need an ultramag box

It does. All the nosler cases are just shortened versions of the remington ultra mags

If they went to the bother of shortening the Ultra Mag cases why didn't they, at the same time, design them with a bit more neck? I hate short necks on a cartridge.
